BMC needed to design something to compete with these 'micro' cars and designed the Mini. In August of 1959 the Mini was released to the forecourts and Dealers both as the Austin 850 and the Morris 850 both trading lables of BMC (British motor Corporation) The BMC Mini been so practical its was not overnight hit though. But By 1961 both the Austin Mini cooper and Morris Mini cooper where released and in 1963 the More power Mini Cooper S was released.
In october 2000 the last Classic mini was produced ending many years of production of this great Car. Over the production there have been many special edition minis such as the Mini 25, Mini 30, Mini Studio 2,Checkmate, Racing Green and Flame red.
